DOR Lien Database registry informational session

11/9/2017

The Georgia General Assembly passed House Bill 337 (HB337) to modernize the filing of state tax liens effective 01/01/2018.  This bill affects anyone involved in the transfer of real property, such as property owners, closing attorneys, title insurance professionals, real estate professionals, and mortgage bankers.  The Georgia Department of Revenue (DOR) and the Georgia Superior Court Clerks’ Cooperative Authority (GSCCCA) have developed SOLVED (Satisfaction of Liens Via Electronic Database) to meet the requirements of HB 337. This new database will allow:
  • A public liens search in a centralized online location
  • Users to request a Certificate of Lien Clearance or Statement of Lien through the Georgia Tax Center
  • DOR to file liens electronically
If you or a representative of your organization is interested in attending a HB337 seminar, you may register for a location near you at https://dor.georgia.gov/house-bill-337-informational-seminars .  Registration is open on a first come-first served basis and sessions are expected to last between 1 ½ to 2 hours, which includes time for Q & A.
