George A. Pindar was the authority in Georgia on real estate law and procedure. His name is synonymous with property law in our state. His contribution to the real estate bar is unsurpassed. Furthermore, Pindar’s Georgia Real Estate Law and Procedure currently in its fifth edition is the treatise which Georgia Lawyers rely upon for authority and is quoted by the courts not only in Georgia but in other states as well since it’s original publication in 1971.

Not only is George A. Pindar a scholar but he is a lawyer of unquestionable integrity and recognized by his peers for his keen objective mind along with his logical objectivity. His lifetime contribution to the Real Estate Bar has been of such significance that no other individual has even come close. It is therefore the pleasure of the Real Estate Section of the State Bar of Georgia to pay tribute to this outstanding individual who has given of himself unselfishly for the benefit of the Bar.

The George A. Pindar Award is granted by the real estate section of the State Bar of Georgia to a member of the real estate section of the same bar whose lifetime contribution has been significant to the real estate bar. The main objective of the George A. Pindar Award is to honor a member of the real estate section of the bar who unselfishly gives of him or herself for the benefit of the bar. The executive committee of the Real Estate section of the State Bar of Georgia will determine annually if the award shall be granted and will vote to give the award to a person or persons whom the executive committee thinks represents the ethics and ideals of George A. Pindar.
